- Approval
of minutes of the September meeting – approved as distributed.
- Reports
on meetings and committees
- Transfer
Station Relocation and Planning Committee--Anne Packard
Anne reported on the status of the
search process. The committee will meet
10/10 to visit recycling centers.
- Permits
and other matters.
a. DES sent a
request for an Operational Maintenance Plan for the Highland Links Colony
Dam to the
Moriartys due August 30. Chairman
Spencer reported noticing maintenance done
on the dam [brush
cleared].
b. Forest Plan
Intent to Cut received for E. Holderness Rd on Vachon property – seems to be
for house lot.
c. Dredge and
Fill Permit application filled out for rebuilding of a stone wall in Cotton
Cove.
Expect to see
Minimum Impact application coming instead.
- Commission
web site--http://www.holdernessconservationcommission.org is up and
running with agenda, minutes and goals.
- Prioritization
of goals—Betsey to look into Conservation Camp.
- Open
House at the Pilote and Town Forest properties: the 19th of
October from 9-12. We will tour the
property from 9-10:30; from 10:30 to 12, visitors are welcome to tour
trails on their own. Refreshments
will be served.
- Report
on wetland delineations project – no report
- NHACC
Official Legislative Ballot filled out unanimously supporting the actions
suggested by NHACC.
- Betsey
will send a news item for the NHACC newsletter on the Open House, web
site, PSC Pride Day, and stewardship plan for LCIP property.
- Discussion
of and prioritization of suggestions made in the report submitted to us by
George Frame: Not all commission members had received the report prior to
the meeting. Report will be
reviewed at the next meeting.
Chairman Spencer will review two points with the Selectboard on Oct
21: the remarking of the entire boundary and the marking of hazard trees
on the trails for their removal.

about Valpey property – Larry will continue to contact Jim Mardis.
- Fall
schedule of meetings and events and jobs
- November--NHACC
annual meeting--Concord, 2 November – Jacque will try to attend

on budget

- Other
business as needed –
Larry presented the Squam Lookout
sent to the commission from the Squam Lakes Conservation Society and Habitats
from the UNH Cooperative Extension.
Mr. Gibson whose neighbor is trying
to relocate his driveway contacted Larry.
Mr. Gibson wanted clarification for wetlands on the property; Larry
walked the area and found no evidence of wetlands.
